    Chapter 29:
    Historical Context:
During this time Great Britain was taking over smaller colonies in India. This connects to Colonialism because a stronger country is taking over and oppressing another territory. It is a negative impact for India because it affects the people`s life and they start to question their surroundings.

    1. I kind of agree with you and disagree. I agree because colonialism affected Nathan and his farming. But at the same time, people got jobs and better wages when they started to work at the tannery and it helped them get food and buy other things.

    2. I think that Rukmani doesn't consider her children in the grieving process because she's really concerned about herself and how she is going to live, especially without her husband. In other words, she's probably thinking what is going to become of her now that she's by herself with Puli in a place she doesn't really know.
